A Brief History
Nakeo Marez (@ghostkalei) has been drawing since they were a toddler, but started taking the craft seriously in middle school. Since then, the now high school senior has striven to increase their skill and reach.
Being a part of LGBTQIA+, Mexican, Laotian, and disabled communities allows Marez to understand the value of proper representation in visual media. Their goal as an artist is to make sure that anyone, no matter the aspects of their identity, can have the opportunity to see themselves reflected in art. Whether you are plus-sized, scarred, dark skinned, etc, Marez is willing to prove to you the truth of your beauty through illustration.
