PAYMENT
Clients will pay an initial fee that is equal to the cost of their chosen commission package and a final fee that is equal to the artwork’s end hourly rate. Acceptable payment methods for commissioned artworks consist of Paypal, Cashapp, and Venmo. Information regarding payment will be further discussed once contact between the artist and the client has been confirmed. To ensure the integrity of the client, it is required that the base price of the commission package must be payed in full and upfront. Once the artwork is complete, the hourly rate must be payed before the artwork is given over to the client. Prices are non-negotiable. In the event that the artist cannot complete the artwork the client will be refunded in full. Tips are accepted.
USE OF COMMISSIONED WORK
Once the artwork is in possession of the client, it is the client’s responsibility to follow any and all copyright and intellectual property laws enforced by and within the United States, regardless of client’s own nationality.
Some basic guidelines are:
-Credit the artist when publicly using the artwork in any way, shape, or form. This includes, but is not limited to, profile pictures, headers, reposts, etc. The easiest way for the client to credit the artist is to include their username (@ghostkalei) in either the client’s online bio or in the caption of the client’s post, alongside tagging the artist if able.
-Commissioned art cannot be edited, falsely claimed, or sold second-hand without the artist’s explicit knowledge and consent. Under the circumstance of which this guideline is broken, the artist is entitled to legal action of the fullest extent.
ARTIST PREFERENCE
The artist WILL NOT draw: Excessive gore, excessive violence, self-harm, sexual content of any kind, suicide, art with bigoted themes (unless the client is a minority seeking to express their experience or feelings in a meaningful, appropriate manner), racial caricatures of ANY degree, general NSFW, etc.
The artist WILL draw: Possible sensitive/triggering content (derealization, unsettling imagery, mental health themes), fanart, characters of any age, body type, race, gender, sexuality, etc.
The artist LACKS PROFIENCY IN: Anthropomorphic animals, animatronics, and robots. The artist may be able to provide the client with a basic sketch, line art, or concept illustration of these figures, but there is no guarantee that they will be the same quality as the artist’s other artworks.
OVERVIEW
The process is summarized as follows. (Note: process may vary from client to client, this summary is meant to provide a basic outline for the purpose of giving the client some insight on the process and what to expect.)
DAY 1: Once the client has contacted the artist, the commission process may begin. The artist and client will discuss deadlines, commission packaging, and initial payment.
DAY 1-2: The artist and client will discuss the client’s vision of the artwork, establishing reference photos, themes, color palettes, etc.
HALFWAY POINT: The artist will send the client their half-finished commissioned art. The artist and client will further discuss the art in order to ensure that the client’s vision is being fulfilled. Minor edits may occur during this time. Once approval from the client has been given, the artist will proceed to complete the artwork.
END POINT: Once the artwork is completed, the artist will send a heavily watermarked copy of the artwork in order to gain final approval from the client. Any edits or changes requested during this time will end up costing an extra 75% of the commission package’s original price. The artist will provide the the total hourly rate that accumulated over the course of the artwork’s creation. Once this total price has been paid, the artist will provide the client with their completed artwork, and the process will be complete!
